Goodbye 240s...hello 230s!

I am late posting this, but don't let that fool you on my excitement! I weighed in yesterday at 237.8!!! Even better is my weigh in today was 235.6! I haven't seen that weight in a long time.
So, I am taking a moment of silence to say goodbye to the 240s....may I never see you again!
bahahahaha

Today I started strained foods and had a creamy broccoli soup. I can't get over the fact that I can only eat a couple spoon fulls and then I am full. It blows my mind...in a good way. Tomorrow I am thinking of making a black bean soup. I will let you know how it turns out and will post the recipe here. In order to not waste food or money, I purchased some little containers from the Dollar Tree. i couldn't find 2oz, so I got the 4oz Disney princess ones..lol. I think they are super fitting. Along with my container shopping, I hit the grocery store. Anyone else spend forever reading labels? My latest questions is how many sugar grams are too much on protein drinks? I have some that are 2g, but they have that horrible artificial crap. I found another that has 26 grams, but is natural. If anyone has any in put, please let me know :)

Day 7 Post Op

Day 7!  So far things are pretty good. My incisions are still sore and I find it difficult to get uncomfortable, but overall I am doing well. Yesterday  I achieved 64oz of fluid for the first time. I felt like a balloon running to the restroom all day! Lol

I get to start strained purees tomorrow and am pretty excited. I haven't found many things on the internet regarding recipes or foods yet. Any ideas??

Vertical Sleeve 5 days Post op

I am 5 days out from my April 17th Vertical Gastric Sleeve surgery. So far I feel pretty good, just a bit sore and a little tired.
I am currently on the clear liquids phase, but honestly am not hungry at all.  It is a strange sensation to not crave food and when you do eat, it only take a couple bites to be full. I am having issues with getting the required 64oz of fluids. Prior to surgery I consumed that in coffee! Now, I am mixing water, vitamin water and diluted apple juice, but it takes a full day to get all of that in.
Over the last couple weeks I have spent a considerable amount of time on the internet researching everything gastric sleeve, pre-op, post op, diets, mental states, skin, protein..... you name it. I have found a ton of grocery haul videos, personal journeys, milestones and some "bariatric cooking shows" on You Tube. The cooking shows were either too silly or demeaning. Where is the info for us normal people who work 40+ hours a week? I enjoy the personal stories and helpful tips that people post. I also like seeing that I am not alone in this journey.

I have decided to focus my craziness on putting together eating plans for the normal person. The people who have to feed a family, besides themselves, plus take care of all of the other responsibilities. I don't have the answers now, but you can bet that I will get some of things figured out! lol
